There’s a new attraction coming to Pigeon Forge! Pigeon Forge will soon be home to a Civil War-themed theater. In March, the Buttonwillow Civil War Theater will open its doors. We’ve got all the details on this new attraction in Pigeon Forge:
About the Buttonwillow Civil War Theater
The new Civil War attraction in Pigeon Forge will bring a different kind of show to the Smoky Mountains. According to the owner of the theater and the show leader, Steve Gipson, the show will be called “Buttonwillow Civil War Theater.” Gipson said it tells the story of two cousins from East Tennessee, one pro-Union and one pro-Confederate. The two men struggle to understand the other’s view of saving the South. With an ending that will “melt your heart,” Gipson said it “will make you laugh and cry in awe.”
The new attraction in Pigeon Forge is expected to open March 1. They are currently looking for actors and hope to stay open year-round with about 500 shows each year.
