Pigeon Forge is known for its natural scenery. That is, the timeless beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains. It is fun to spend some time outdoors while you’re here. However, when you need to beat the heat or stay out of the rain, the city also has many great indoor attractions as well! Need some recommendations? Explore our list of 3 fun Pigeon Forge indoor activities:
1. WonderWorks Indoor Amusement Park
WonderWorks in Pigeon Forge is unique, both inside and out! Starting from the outside, the structure of the building resembles an upside down house. Inside, there are over 100 hands-on activities that provide visitors with education and entertainment. They are divided into six Wonder Zones, each of which covers a different topic. For example, in the Light & Sound Zone, you can explore the wonder of your shadow and play music by walking on a giant piano (AKA The King of Instruments). While you’re there, experience the attraction’s other activities as well. Try to conquer the world’s largest indoor ropes course and make your way through a blacklit laser tag maze without getting hit by opponents. There is also a 4D Motion Theater where visitors can have a movie viewing experience like no other.
2. Titanic Museum Attraction
The Titanic Museum Attraction is another one of our favorite Pigeon Forge indoor activities. Established in 2010, their goal is to educate visitors about this grand ship and its unfortunate demise while also carrying on the legacy of the passengers and crew. Outside, you’ll see a replica of the ship that is half-scale to the original model. It even includes the infamous iceberg. When you walk inside, you’ll be given a boarding pass of an actual Titanic passenger. Some of the exhibits show you what it was like to be on the ship. Walk the $1 million replica of the Grand Staircase and see models of the different living quarters. Other exhibits teach you more about what happened on April 15,1912. For instance, you can feel the chill of 28℉ water. Also, attempt to maintain your balance on a sinking stern. Before you leave, go into the Memorial Room to discover the fate of the passenger on your boarding pass.
3. MagiQuest
If you want to know what it’s like to be a wizard, MagiQuest is the activity for you! The building looks like a castle and the attraction is named after an interactive scavenger hunt game. Before playing, you get to pick out your very own magic wand. It will be a hard choice as they come in many different colors and styles. You’ll use that along with your clue book to complete various quests. Conquer them all for the chance to become a Master Magi. In addition to the MagiQuest Game, this attraction also houses other great activities. You can play a round of Pirate Golf or experience nostalgic games at the Adventure Arcade. Those up for a challenge can find their way through the Odyssey Mirror Maze.
